ICRH Mozambique talks about safe abortion in the STV morning news

Eight years after the passing of the law to decriminalize abortion, ICRH Mozambique project manager Hassane Ibrahimo was invited to talk about this on STV, the Mozambican private television broadcaster with the largest audience.

Hassane was in Jornal da Manhã, where he shared the experiences and results in the Tete Province in the implementation of the project ‘From the Law to Access’, providing safe abortion services without fear and stigma on the part of women and girls. It was implemented in three districts in the province, with funding from the SAAF. On the other side of the desk was Nelson Talhada, gynecologist/obstetrician and representative of MISAU, who addressed several topics, such as complications resulting from clandestine access. The live interview lasted 45 minutes.

Given the relevance of the subject, the same panel was also invited to participate in another program, called Mais Mulher to address the issue. It should be noted that, during the implementation of the safe abortion project in Tete, a documentary was produced about this experience.
